Cuc Thi-Thu (Kelsie) Nguyen is currently a MSc’s Marketing Analytics student at University of Southampton.

Previously she worked as a Market Researcher and Digital Marketer in multiple firms.

I'm often described as the Beth Harmon of real life – an intense, driven individual with a passion for intellectual pursuits. Born in the autumn of 2000, I'm a water dragon, free to roam and dive into my passions, as my mother fondly teases.

I can be quite judgmental and fastidious, yet I remain extremely open to receiving new knowledge and experiences. My life motto comes from Michael Scott of The Office: "I do my best work when people don't believe in me." I don't claim to be the best. What truly defines me is an insatiable curiosity to explore human nature, society, and the universe – a desire that has been with me since childhood.

Curiously, I have Aphantasia, a condition characterized by the inability to visualize memories and imagination. This hasn't stopped me, however, from pursuing my dreams in scientific research and market research. With pride as a Vietnamese, I believe I can make a valuable contribution to society and the Vietnamese youth community.

Tinh Vân - Thu thi thu thi

2020

A 1-month university project raising awareness about mental health issues faced by Vietnamese youth. Through a survey of over 300 parents, I uncovered widespread misunderstandings about conditions like ADHD and autism, often wrongly attributed to external factors. To normalize stories of "special children", I created the storybook 'Em Tao' about a child with ADHD, aiming to educate future parents on early intervention and support.

Em Tao - A Storybook on ADHD Part of the "Tinh Van" project, 'Em Tao' is a storybook focused on a child with ADHD. Over 80% of surveyed youth misunderstood such conditions as externally caused. Through an engaging narrative, the book normalizes neurodiverse experiences while raising awareness on early diagnosis and intervention among future parents.

The Role of Podcasts in Learning English

2022

As part of scientific research at FPT University, I used descriptive analysis to measure the positive impact of podcasts on improving English listening skills among college students. The findings highlighted podcasts as an effective educational tool.

BAMBINO - App for New Mothers

2022

Challenging societal notions that confine pregnant women, my graduation project BAMBINO was a mobile app supporting their physical and mental wellbeing pre/postpartum. Realizing many Vietnamese women feel forced to stay home during pregnancy, the app provided scientific guidance on healthy lifestyles, aiming to uplift their confidence and combat postpartum depression.

I bring a distinctive perspective to the field, with my analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, to provide data-driven analysis and innovative approaches to market research.
